Several preventive measures are implemented to create a consistently anti-bullying and anti-extortion school environment:

The curriculum at SMP IT An-Nawawi intensively instills the values of Akhlakul Karimah (noble character). Students are taught that belittling, hurting, or intimidating others contradicts Islamic teachings (as mentioned in QS. Al-Hujurat: 11 regarding the prohibition of mocking others).

A structured supervision system is established: all dormitory supervisors (Musyrif) and teachers are trained to be sensitive to signs of bullying and act as agents of positive change in both the dormitory and school environment.

Additionally, a safe reporting channel is provided. The school strictly maintains confidentiality for every report. Anonymous complaints with direct access to counselors (Guidance and Counseling teachers) and Musyrif will be handled quickly, fairly, and without revealing the identity of the reporter.

SMP IT An-Nawawi also implements a “Zero Tolerance” policy. If bullying occurs, sanctions are not only punitive but also educational and rehabilitative. The aim is to raise awareness in the perpetrator and support the victim until they fully recover.

The school also rejects all forms of extortion (pungli). Why is this applied? Because integrity is highly upheld. As a religious-based educational institution, honesty (Shidiq) and integrity are core principles.

SMP IT An-Nawawi is committed to transparent and accountable financial management, ensuring that the school remains free from illegal levies.

All details of educational costs—from tuition fees, meal fees, to activity contributions—are presented clearly to all parents before the academic year begins. There are no hidden costs that appear unexpectedly without approval from the school committee.

All transactions are carried out through the institution’s official bank account with valid transfer receipts or printed invoices. Staff and teachers are strictly prohibited from receiving cash payments outside the official procedures set by the administrative office or school treasurer.

Students are taught about the dangers of corruption—even in small forms such as extortion. This lesson is integrated into Fikih Muamalah and religious discussions, emphasizing that taking others’ rights is forbidden (haram) and damages the social order.

Parents and committee members are encouraged to actively supervise and provide feedback on financial management. If any unclear or unauthorized request for funds is found from any individual (teacher, staff, or dorm supervisor), the school guarantees strict disciplinary action, including termination.
